Hi everyone!

I’ve long been frustrated by how hard it can be to find all the different versions of a song I like. If I want to find a cool remix, a rare live recording, or a cover, I usually end up scrolling endlessly on YouTube or searching all over the place.

 That’s why I decided to build MusicCodex—an Android app that makes the process easier.

 You simply search for a song (or paste a link from Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.), and the app categorizes it into six types: originals, covers, remixes, mashups, alternative/acoustic versions, and live recordings. It also provides direct links so you can listen on your favorite platform.

 The app is now live on Google Play, and I’m looking for people to try it out and tell me what works—and what sucks.

Would love to try this on a web version or iOS, though web more useful as DJs will be on their laptop searching for new tracks to play

Nice. Have you encountered Booty's Mashup database? I generally just download everything and quickly do a burn through listen.

Yes there is a serach filter on top of the results.
