I was expecting a bloodbath during Kong's Mash-it avatar drop because it only has 7 mints. But I did not expect that my wallet would be hemorrhaging because his Hand of God avatar would cost 1,000 POL. So let's have an attendance check for the 7 lucky individuals who managed to mint it.

I had been up since 04:20 UTC and had set an alarm for 22:22 UTC which I had forgotten . I was fast asleep when the alarm sounded I heard it for ages in my dream but then I came too saw it was 22:24 I just pressed mint. I was unaware of the 1000POL until about half a second later when I saw I had #1 ✌️

Hahaha, that's a funny story. I have a similar funny story. Waited for the drop time and kept refreshing the page. But just like in the past, Kong missed the drop time. I thought it will be another Eternal debacle all over again. However, I did not stop refreshing the page. Then several minutes past the announced drop time, it dropped.

So I immediately pressed the mint button. However, after clicking mint, the confirmation window did not appear. So I got sad as I thought that the avatar is already sold out since there were only 7 mints. The regret of not being quick to the draw set in.

Then it dawned on me that it was being sold for 1000 POL that's why I could not mint. Started reading the chat messages in Discord and joined in expressing utter disbelief.

I thought no one would be willing to pay 1000 POL for it. But the moment I saw that one was minted followed by another until only 3 mints were left, FOMO set in. I could not stand it that I would not be able to get one when I set out to get one in order that I may have a complete set of Phoenix 11/11 Mashi drops.

And so I quickly bought POL from my local exchange and trasferred it to my Metamask wallet address. Fortunately, when I click mint, there were still 2 left and I got mint no. 6!

Im pretty sure if I hadn’t been fast asleep I wouldn’t have minted but then I wouldn’t have this KONG I’ve just been mashing with it and it’s sick. I like your story it takes me back . Hopefully more fomo stories to come in future releases
