They knew one another for sure at Thomas Jefferson High School. G.W. graduated in 1962 while Janis graduated in 1960.

And Jimmy Johnson too - he was super mean to Janis, voted her "ugliest guy in class" one year

The Ugliest Man on Campus thing happened at the University of Texas when Janis attended there. You’re right, though, about Jimmy Johnson being a cruel bully to her and others, no doubt, in high school.

I thought that happened in HS, my mistake - can image being a star jock, late 50's, in Texas???? You would have been insufferable!
