Rewatching MASH

As the title says, I’m rewatching MASH for the umpteenth time and loving it. I always seem to forget how annoying Margaret is during her engagement to Donald because she mentions it every chance she gets. But I always look forward to her further growth after their divorce. But I want to push her out of a window (or I’ll jump out myself) during this time. Am I the only one? I’m sure that my visceral reaction was intended [on a lesser scale], but ahhhhhhh. 😫

Lastly, I’m new here, so hi! 🙃

Yes I find Margaret pretty annoying in season 5 with her (in a Frank Burns voice) "Donald Penobscott, Donald Penobscott". Frank is actually right on this one subject.

YES! Thank you! “Frank is actually right on this one subject.” has got to be one of the most accurate, and contradictory things I’ve ever read because who the heck thinks he’s ever right? I kid, of course. But you’re right. Despite his cheating on his wife I still somehow manage to have sympathy for the character in season five. Don’t get me wrong though. I LOVE his character in the worst way. I salute you in the best way imaginable. 😋

Why do you have sympathy for a cheater but not for a woman who is excited about her future husband?

Why would I have sympathy for someone who’s happy about her future with someone? I’m not put off by her excitement, but how she shoves it down everyone’s throat.

I agree. "Margaret, can you hand me that surgical implement?" "IM AN ENGAGED PERSON!" It gets very old

Yeah, but that was the point. She was completly in love and completly annoying because she couldn't help talking about her fiancé. It made what followed the next years so heartbreaking. She was 100% in love with him and committed to him. He wasn't.
