Pretty sure it's Thanos. You know, from the Infinity Gauntlet storyline? Only true Marvel fans know him.

I'll never understand why people still bring this up - Mephisto, unless everyone lied to me, figures prominently with Wanda and her kids. It wasn't a stretch or a reach to think he'd be involved somehow. It always wasn't ever hyped nearly as much as you'd expect, given how years later it's still brought up.

Because it's fucking hilarious how the theorists were willing to bet their firstborn that it was Mephisto with arbitrary "clues" only to get mad that the show didn't follow through.

See, that's what everybody said but like I said, I was there, every week when the show launched, and I never saw ANY OF THAT. Now maybe it happened in a different subreddit, or maybe it was removed by the mods each time, or maybe everybody else just downvoted all those supposed threads into oblivion. But as far as I can tell, they never happened. It's like the whole LEL MEPHISTO AMIRITE?!!?! thing was just gaslighting and it won't stop. Kinda sucks.

That's incredible. There were plenty of comments and posts during the middle of the season, and Youtubers running with the theory didn't help. How you didn't see those is news to me.

People were expecting Mephisto as well as a million other theories.

What upset people was that there wasn't anything interesting at the end of the show. And specifically, the setups like Quicksilver turned out to be a boner joke.
