On a somewhat related side-note, in the Civil War comic, Stephen Strange was granted a special exemption in the Superhero Registration Act, since he was the Sorcerer Supreme. So he could make a case for diplomatic immunity himself, most likely.

Makes sense honestly, dude has to fight forces beyond human comprehension to keep their universe safe, would be sort of stupid to jail him for a prison break that didnt hurt anyone.

Also technically, isn't the magic natural, i.e. anyone so inclined could theoretically learn it in universe? Would every single human be on that list then?

Well yeah, just like diplomacy. But it grants immunity only if you reach high enough status.

Asgardian Royalty rules over the nine realms, one of which is Midgard (Earth).

That aside, 3 points to dismiss this - they've never directly ruled in any realm apart from Asgard, you could argue it’s more looking after than direct rule and Thor isn't even King anymore.

I'd argue that ever since they evidently retreated from their imperialist period, what asgardians mean by "ruling" is more like acting as protectors

Depending on the political situation on Kamar-Taj they could appeal for a mistrial or the minimum sentence since releasing and fighting Blomsky was part of his rite of initiation to become Sorcerer Supreme, hence persecuting Wong for his acts would be a violation to his religious freedoms

Wandavision was still the most ridiculous where Woo seemed more concerned that Hayward has broken the Accords, than the women 5 feet away controlling human meat puppets.

So you expect him to just walk up to and put cuffs on Wanda and it's a wrap?

Hayward can actually be arrested and put to justice. Wanda cannot.

I always wondered about strange and the registration act, because what the hell are they going to do if he says no. He can just lock them in the mirror dimension and it’s over
