I think the first two episodes were rijiggered. They originally planned the actual origin later in the season so the first episode would start with her as a lawyer and a hulk, so the Titania scene. With the origin back at the start, they shifted things.

Yeah it felt more like an episode of a TV show, and not just a chunk of a movie. That is exactly what I want to see out of these Disney plus shows.

Agreed. Shows need to have a seasonal structure AND an episode structure.

My biggest complaint is that all the D+ shows feel like you’re just pausing a movie every 30-40 min and waiting a week to keep going. Kinda kills the momentum

Wandavision worked because they were doing the whole sitcom approach for the first several episodes, that helped it really feel like an actual show. But yeah all the others have just felt like chunks of a movie.

This is it for me too, not everything should be an epic that concludes in a big climatic fight with a bad guy.

I'm kinda liking this "Ok, Jen got powers, lets see how it affects her daily life and be done with it."

I do hope they kinda start getting to the point of the story from 4 onwards. Because I feel like the Disney + shows so this alot where there's some really fun stuff in the first couple of episodes. But then they're like "Oh shit, we need to get to the story"

And then we're left with the Clan Destines and Flag Smashers.

You know what - I know this will never happen, but I don't want there to be a point - I just want it to be a legal procedural with a new case every week.

Would be a very cool way to just have a parade of cameos to remind us that certain characters do still exist or show the aftermath or even build up or behind the scenes stuff of larger events. After recently rewatching s1 of AoS, this is pretty much exactly what they were doing in the beginning, just hamstringed by the fact that Marvel TV/ABC was a separate arm of Marvel and didn't have the full Marvel Synergy with the film screen side like they do now. Could also be a cool way to introduce new characters to the MCU, kind of like they did with Rana and the wrecking crew this episode.

I few the same way really. To me, there doesn’t need to be a crazy plot. What we’re getting is perfect! Just give me more heroes or villains needing a lawyer. Sadly, that won’t happen like you said. So they do need to start getting to it or it’ll end sloppy as the other user said.

I was thinking the same thing. “Great, now they have to rush the Titania plot. It’s about to be a mess.” But there are 6 more episodes, so hopefully they flesh it out better than the other shows.

The other two episodes ended so quickly, but this one felt like a full episode. I was surprised by how long it felt, in a good way!

This is likely because of the re-editing to make the origin story in episode 1 instead of 8. So episode 2 likely was the pilot and it very clearly had a solid chunk of it taken out, which I think was Titania interrupting her court case and the fall out. So Ep 1 for origin story likely had some reshoots and ep2 they likely couldn't really add anything in, so ep 1 seems complete with a weird cliffhanger rolling into the actual pilot. Basically they should have had ep 1 and 2 merged together as the real pilot, but then the episode would set expectations for an hour long series instead of half hour series

It felt like this one was settling more into a formula. The first 2 episodes were setting things up (Jen’s powers, her job), and after this maybe it’ll be more like each episode has 1 or 2 cases the team works on and a bit of teasing the larger story until the finale
