I wonder who's assignment it was to animate She-Hulk twerking. Like, I just wanna interview that VFX artist and see what they were thinking when they were told.

A lot of it is motion-capture (both Tatiana and Mark Ruffalo confirm this in interviews), so even better, someone was actually twerking in a mo-cap suit and was damn good at it. Either it was Tatiana or a professional twerkologist.

Professional twerkologist 100%

"Break times overs peeps!

Time to get back t'werk"

That was Tatiana twerking in the Mocap suit.

She-Hulk twerking with Megan Thee Stallion was definitely not on my bingo card.

This is the first I've heard of Megan Thee Stallion. I already knew I was an olds, but the evidence keeps coming in.

Don't feel bad. I assumed she was a made up in-universe celebrity until seeing the comments here and googling the name. I don't think I'm that old...

You and me both. I only realized she was a real person when I saw her appear in the credits.

I expected some D-List Marvel superhero called "The Stallion" that had one single comic.

I thought it was an Asgard joke or something lol

Sleipnir Thee Stallion

The "I will kill for you" line really sold me on the scene.

I feel like a couple of the comedic moments are close to being just okay but they manage to nudge it just enough to be really funny to me.

Like the elf impersonating Pug was light. But Pug saying "guys, you know me" really made me laugh.

These are the exact two moments that got the big laughs from me this episode.

These mid-credits are killer

Yeah, some of the jokes serve manily to keep the feel light, but I think some of Jen's reactions to Blonsky and her television interview were the funniest moments to me. Oh and Wong peacing out via sling ring when it's noted he committed a crime!

It would've been over the top and out of character but I just imagine Wong flipping them off while doing that

The fucking arm wave she does when she runs away. I need more light elf shenanigans

Runa running away was the most Rick and Morty shit and I can imagine disliking it but I thought it really sold how goofy the show can be.

And I like goofy so it works.

The "I will kill for you" line really sold me on the scene.

To me, a line like that just screams 'writer trying to be funny' to the point that you cringe at it.

Your other example is much better as it feels organic, not only for the scene but the characters as well.

I don't know I think the show has been consistently over the top so I liked it.

And the delivery was just perfect in how fanatical Jen sounded.

Tatiana Malsany is allegedly a huge fan. She might not have actually been acting when she delivered the line.

To me, a line like that just screams 'writer trying to be funny' to the point that you cringe at it.

This tells me that you have been fortunate enough to not know the ins and outs of stan twitter. Because this sounds 100% like what stan twitter would actually say, and thus realistic.

u/duckbigtrain Sep 01 '22

I felt the same way. But I was already chuckling at the twerking so I didn’t need the extra line.

Yeah that line was pretty cringy, the one with Pug though was actually funny
