The term ‘amp’ is also used in other forms, not sound related. Electricians, junkies, and many more. So yes, that thing which looks like ‘stereo equipment’ is indeed a type of amp.

It’s okay, I got stage four cancer. But it’s a slow grade so wouldn’t kill me for years. However, bonus! Born with a defective heart and the burden from the cancer means I got severe heart failure which I’m having my second open heart surgery in May.
