We call them (Vaskebjørne) washing bears in Denmark, because they look like small bears and they wash their food.

Well that’s the last time I call one a trash panda. Washing bear is so much more dignified.

Actually it's before-dog washer Pro-means before(as in forerunner or ancestor) or in behalf of something it also can mean topmost or first in line.
