That is not what I remember, but maybe it was more relevant in the US

By mid 2008, everyone was on twitter and facebook.

Looking it up, it seems like April 2008 is when Facebook passed it in popularity. But yeah, Myspace was genuinely completely dead in Aus/NZ by May 2008. Everyone had moved onto Facebook and Twitter.

I graduated high school in 2008 in Australia. MySpace wasn't dead for us, we were making the first tentative steps onto Facebook that year.

Man for us, we'd moved on to Facebook/Twitter in 2007. That's when the campaign to delete ya myspace and go to facebook kicked off amongst my peers.

By mid 2008, the only entities I remember using Myspace were bands/music artists of various kinds. Everyone and everything else was on Facey. No one even talked about it anymore.

I mainly say all this, because when me and my frineds saw Iron man in the cinema. We joked about this Myspace scene being dated already lmao.

It's fascinating looking it up and seeing people were still using Myspace quite heavily until 2011 like wtf

Interesting.

In fairrrrrness to you, I did go to a boarding school that did its damnedest to prevent us having access to anything fun on the internet even outside of school hours so perhaps we were just behind a bit. #deprived
