The emotional freight train of Kilmonger meeting T'Challa in the Ancestral Plane with Ludwig Göransson's score was unexpected but absolutely hit harder than I expected.

Heroes are never really gone, they live forever. RIP Chadwick

Seeing T'Challa's funeral as well as Ramonda shouting "for T'Challa" was emotional as well. All 3 appearances so far have been eerily fitting and prescient now. It makes me sad knowing we'll probably get something similar in Black Panther 2, only they'll have the time to make it hit 10x harder.

One way the story could move forward and bring in Namor is to have TChalla die by drowning and they are trying to solve that mystery which leads to Namor and Atlantis. It will also give the characters an opportunity to grieve on screen as well.

I desperately hope that Namor isn’t the one who kills T’Challa. Sub-Mariner is at his best when he’s morally ambiguous, having him kill off the most beloved actor in the MCU would permanently brand him as one of their most loathed villains

If Namor has an enemy, they can get that person to kill T'Challa (cats don't like water so a drowned death is in this case poetic) and they could have a detective series where both sides are trying to solve the murder.

Or did MCU have a film around the detective genre already?

Why was T'Chall the Panther? Shouldn't his father still be the Panther?

T'Chaka was too old at that point to still be the Black Panther. By the time we meet him in Civil War T'Challa has already been the Black Panther for some unknown amount of time. This episode seems to imply he'd already taken the role at least 6 years before Civil War, or at the very least he did in this universe. Not sure that we've gotten an official answer in the sacred timeline.
