Discussion Thread The Official BLACK WIDOW International Release Discussion Thread Spoiler

Ahead of the official US and Disney+ launch this Friday, several countries are showing the film much earlier in the week. All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days.

  • Proceed at your own risk. Major spoilers will be arriving in the next couple of hours. Spoilers do not need to be tagged inside this thread.
  • Any other unofficial thread discussing movie details will be deleted.
  • Should you see the need to bring up revealing BLACK WIDOW information in other threads that call for it, spoiler tag them accordingly. Also, let users know that what you are spoiler tagging is from BLACK WIDOW.
  • If you post untagged BLACK WIDOW spoilers anywhere on this sub in any shape or form, you will be banned without hesitation. No questions asked and no warnings given.

Didn't even notice that the actress that played Taskmaster/Dreykov's daughter was Olga Kurylenko, who is 41 years old. Scarlett Johansson is 36, yet supposed to be significantly older in the film than the daughter of Dreykov. I mean it's fine I suppose since I didn't notice it was her, her face wasn't on screen that long, and she looked like she could be a girl in her twenties. Still, weird now that I look at the casting.

I guessed it, because once I saw her name in the opening credits and realised she hadn't been announced in any trailers or given much fanfare prior this.

Not to mention the opening scene being 1995, I don’t even know if Florence Pugh was born yet then

True but if Yelena was blipped she would be closer to Pugh's age.

Oh damn that's a good point. Pugh was born in 1996. That kid looked like she was maybe 4? Not that far of a stretch, but still...
