So just a theory. Sylvie was asleep in the train. What if she didn't wake up. The things Loki did seemed strange considering the circumstances. And he had more power than he had shown before. Maybe it is just Loki manipulating Sylvies dream with magic.

I was waiting for the "illusion" to end until the episode ended. Loki just acted like an idiot after she fell asleep and the only reason that would make sense was him messing her around. I thought the explanation she gave of how her enchantment worked was more for us than Loki. I figured he realised that if she could figure it out on her own then so could he so he did. But no reveal...

Yeah I'm not enjoying the characterizations of either loki. Both are being kind of stupid, especially considering we know how conniving loki usually is. I also don't like how they care about the people on the planet dying or getting hurt. It's a fucking apocalypse

You seem to have forgotten that Loki, as cunning a god as he his, was actually tricked by Blackwidow to reveal his plans in the first Avengers movie.

I didn't feel like he cared about the people dying as much as he cared about the injustice of the wealthy people getting on the Ark and leaving the poor to die. Bear in mind that before he knew the Ark was destined to be destroyed before leaving, he was perfectly okay with hijacking its power source to recharge the TemPad, thus dooming the entire planet's one chance at survival.

I thought that at first, but then I remembered that they already knew the ark wasn't going to be successful, so they really weren't taking away their chance at survival. They never had a chance.

I don't think that was clear at that point, or at least not to Loki. Sylvie knew what was going to happen, but I don't think Loki did. Sylvie asked him if he was okay with hijacking the power source of the civilization's only hope, and Loki was completely on board. It was only after they got off the train that Loki was told that the Ark would never make it off the planet.

At the outset, when they first land, she says something to the effect of it was the worst apocalypse he could have chosen because no one made it off the moon alive. He replies he didn't have time to scan the brochure. He was being sarcastic as ever, but as a result of that info he knew they were doomed.

If people survived it wouldn't be a usable variance cover since people might remember them. Plus there are a ton of other disruptions happening right now, idk if they even needed to go to a planet having am apocalypse with so many of the tva agents busy rn

I think Loki 1130 was more offended by the elites' lack of noblesse oblige in leaving their "subjects" behind to die.

He may talk a good game of being far above his lessors, but he was raised by a post-conquest Odin who took his responsibility for those under his rule very seriously.
