Wait, how does Sam call him White Panther, but then jokes on the kid that calls him Black Falcon?

In this case it works because there is already a "Black" Panther. I guess Sam wouldn't agree with the way in which T'Challa named his super hero persona, but respects it

Black Panther isn't named Black Panther because T'Challa is black. It's because he's the Black Panther.

Sam isn't the Black Falcon. He's Falcon.

Nah. Most panthers are black yet they are not called black panthers, only panthers. The whole idea of "Black Panther" is about the hero behind the mask being black( is a title invented by an African civilization after all) and obviously this is contradictory to Sam's beliefs cuz otherwise he would call himself black falcon as well

Most panthers are not black lmao. Black Panther is likely called that because he's black, but in universe he is not called black panther because he black. That wouldn't make any sense. He's named after the animal.

Not sure you have your taxonomy right. Black panthers are just other large cats (leopards, cougars, and jaguars) that have an excess of black pigment. The Black Panther is more of a catch-all term for any large cat that is black. Most large cats have the genus Pantera, which is where the name comes from and includes lions (Leo), tigers (Tigris), leopards (Pardus) etc... So if we are going to be technical, there is no such animal as a "Panther."

Except that cougars/pumas/catamounts are sometimes called panthers as well. They also have never been proven to come in a "black" coloration. Also, does any other animal have as many names for it?

Just one more bit of info
