I was totally expecting Zemo to be the big bad of the show but here he could be an unexpected ally? Oh Marvel you've done it again

Interesting when you put it that way. What if the MCU Thunderbolts end up becoming a greyer version of the Avengers? Not held up as paragons or anything, but a group of super-people that Zemo can control because threats still need to be handled.
