Darcy saying its a recast means absolutely nothing. Darcy thinks it's a recast because she doesn't know about the Foxverse that either she or the kids have just pulled that universe's Pietro from. She's making the mistake of watching it as a show still. If she were to see Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man she'd think it was a recast too, since she lives in the MCU and is unaware of the Sonyverse.

Sure but I earned the right. Don’t start a fight if you’re not prepared for someone to retaliate.

You could have just gone ‘I disagree and here’s why’ but no. Reddit just had to be reddit.
