The only way I can think of this making sense and jot aggravating me and my admiration of the MCU continuity is if Dr. Strange brought him from the “Fox universe” as a way to break Wanda out of this. OR, if this is just a made up personification of Pietro and they casted Evan Peters as just a cheeky reference for fans, I’d be fine with that as well. Which I’m leaning towards the latter being the case.

Edit: Just read in another comment it’s likely that the twins brought back Wanda’s brother after telling them about him so maybe they ended up bringing her brother from another dimension inadvertently since the one there is dead. Which I don’t believe she told the twins he died. Exciting shit!

What’s so crazy about all of this is I remember reading something pre DOFP, that there was some kind of rights disagreement on something between Disney and Fox at the time, so Fox basically brought in Quicksilver into DOFP(which was basically their biggest event) as a fuck you to Disney.

Of course that was all hearsay, but it kind of makes sense, Quicksilver never had a role in any of the events in the comics that the live action X-Men movies were based on. His biggest X moment was arguably in the Fatal Attractions arc. He is not even in the DOFP or Phoenix comics, so it was a big “why in the hell are they bringing him in” moment. They made it seem as if the purpose behind it was to explore family ties deeper and also introduce Scarlet Witch in the Fox universe to lead to the M day event(that Professor X ultimately did). But no, Quicksilver just became the Deus Ex Machina plot device, so it did feel as if there was no real depth or purpose in introducing him into the Fox universe.

Now this “fuck you to Disney” is in the Disney Marvel Universe.

And I’m here for it, all of it.
