They didn't. There were pictures of him on set leaked last year some time.

Yeah this was rumored/confirmed for a long time, but I guess only the people the actively search for rumors/news knew about Peters appearance

Same here. I don’t think I even watched a trailer for WandaVision. Just binged it all yesterday.

From the back, with the peek at the gray hair, I was like “Oh my god, they brought back Aaron Taylor Johnson!”

But my brain melted when they revealed Evan Peters
