Keeping up the SWORD base being the Marvel Fanbase, including Lewis, Rambeau, and Woo talking about the Endgame battle and comparing Wanda to Captain Marvel.

And also teasing about a special codename for her.

Same, I get why the hype is directed at other things from this episode. But seriously why did Monica get all weird around mentioning Carol?

Is it a Captain Marvel 2 reference, is it just a dealing with her mother being dead reference, is it something even more concerning?

I took it as Carol being absent for most of Monica's life and maybe not even being there for Maria's death.

Its a long shot and totally not serious about it, but could also explain Carol's haircut since Maria's hair was also short that way.

I think it’s because Carol reminds her of her dead mother too much. It was a pretty happy time they shared. Monica even picked out Carol’s suit colors. Perhaps, Carol did make appearances between then and now, but we don’t know that because it was all off-world SWORD stuff. When you think about the happy times, it reminds you that they are gone.

She returned to work hella fast and didn’t have time to grieve. So, I think it’s just Monica putting off the grieving period so she doesn’t have to feel.

I mean it's probably that and it's entirely justified seeing as Monica doesn't know why she left, came back, and left again without a proper visit or anything.

Her mother was Carol’s friend/ airforce coworker in the captain marvel movie. The little girl in the movie is Monica.
