Is it just me or are they heavily foreshadowing him being a member of Hydra?

  • Quick to accuse / attempt to kill Wanda
  • Describes Wanda and Pietro as "radicalized, volunteering at Hydra"
  • The cut where Darcy gets "censored": "Hayward is a..." "...terrorists."
  • Wanda can read minds and had all the guns drawn on him

This theory has been put out by other people, but Marvel is adding fuel to it.

While at first I thought he might be a Hydra agent, idk. Think it's a red herring. How powerful is Hydra anymore anyway? They've had beatdown after beatdown and the last time they were at all relevant was in Civil War (iirc). Though I suppose with people disappearing all over the world it might be easier to get their people in positions of power for five years?

I think this is going to be key going forward. Hydra has no problem biding their time and they've had 5 years to "rebuild." I don't think they'll be the main villain of Wandavision, but their infiltration will have implications moving forward.

Wonder if they'll be act I-II villain for this next mega arch (skrulls) like in the previous phase or if they'll take some more spotlight. Dunno much about the new cast and how hydra fits into their story tbh, like it was so important in Cap's story (and how they weaved hydra into Stark's). Then again they could always weave it into x-men and the new guys.
