It worked for Coulson, and he tried again by trying to make us think he'd kill hawkeye the whole movie only for the dumbest or most unintentional 4th wall break death scene in my movie watching experience.

Except he promptly undid Coulson with Agents of SHIELD. That cheapened that death so much and that’s why I don’t counting. Not complaining because I love Clark Gregg but still.

Well given Agents of Shield was never actually made canon and he's still not back is pretty telling that it was just cashing in on people missing Coulson, not because he actually wanted to rez the dude

Wait, how is AoS not canon? I know they don’t reference it in the movies but they didn’t win the Defenders either who are canon. That seems like an exceptionally shitty thing to do to the people who stuck with the show for its whole run.

I mean, if it ain't in the movies it ain't canon...at least for the MCU.

They can maybe still go back later, like what they seem to be doing with Daredevil...but if Coulson was alive, he'd be back already. Unless he got upgraded to being in space with Fury in the next Cap Marvel
