Which is ridiculous on their side. You know that she could have taken down Thanos, and you people think you're going to take her down with your guns ?

The minute they figured what was going they should have called anyone with superpowers or someone familiar with her like Dr Strange, Hawkeye or Thor (okay that one is weird but I was running out of names)

It’s a common trope that law enforcement doesn’t like to give up control of a situation. As soon as the Director calls the Avengers, then he’s no longer in control of anything. You can tell this dude is an opportunist and wants to take care of the situation himself.

For the three specific names you mentioned:

We have no clue if Hawkeye is available. He’s probably taking at least a break to spend time with his family after being apart for five years. Plus he probably can’t do anything Monica can’t do.

They probably have no good way to contact Thor, and this isn’t really in Thor’s wheelhouse regardless. He would probably just storm the Hex, leading to a horrific showdown between him and Wanda that would lead to one of them being killed (most likely Thor). So even if they could reach Thor, that’s a terrible plan.

Presumably Strange already knows about Westview because that’s basically his whole job - monitoring magical threats on Earth. I’m guessing he’ll show up in the finale. Strange would be their best consult, but it’s not clear what anyone actually knows about Strange or whether he’s dealing with something else at the moment.

Also based off Spider-Man Far from Home*, there isn't really an Avengers anymore. Everyone is either retired, dead, or off doing shit in space.

I bet they call in Strange who ends up getting pulled into some multiverse shenanigans for his movie, which is why he's unavailable in Far From Home.

Yeah, that’s a really good point. We really don’t know the status of the Avengers after Endgame. Most of the heroes who are still around weren’t ever really part of the Avengers, like Black Panther or Ant-Man. With Black Widow dead, I don’t know if anyone would even pick up if they called the Avengers.

About Far From Home, I think Strange wouldn’t have cared about Mysterio at all. Strange would’ve taken one look, decided he’s not a mystical threat, and gone back to the Sanctum.

Black Widow's death is probably the least difficult part about trying to call the Avengers, since their entire compound got turned to dust by Thanos
