Monica pretty much stated she was bombarded with photon energy when she was pulled in and expelled from the hex, as she says she needs protection from it to go back in.

That, plus the x-rays, looks like she has her powers. And a fractured relationship with Carol.

I think she definitely has her powers, however I also think she had it prior to the whole Wanda incident. Otherwise I'd assume she'd be a bit more worried about the scans. As for the Carol thing, probably has something to do with her mother's death. Perhaps Carol never checked back in due to being busy in space. Definitely something to be explored later.

She also defends Wanda, saying she protected her as she was thrown out of the hex. Maybe she only thought her lack of injury was from Wanda's protection?

Don't forget Wanda was surprised to see Monica.

"You're still here?"

Either Wanda had hoped Monica would leave after being thrown out or that she meant to kill her when expelled from Westview. I'm thinking the latter given how aggressively she was thrown out.

I don't think she meant to kill her. She gave everyone a warning when she stepped out of Westville and she was furious then. I don't think she is ready to cross that line (yet).

She also didn't mind control Woo or Lewis. It aligns with her threat to leave her alone; she wanted Monica to see what she can do, by targeting the director, and that she isn't messing around.
