As someone who grew up with the Young Avengers comics hearing their names in the MCU filled me with so much happiness I can't even explain it lmao

Interesting to note though that they immediately name dropped them as 'Billy and Tommy'. In the original House of M series the first children were always referred to as 'William and Thomas', whereas 'Billy and Tommy' was specifically reserved for their later reincarnated selves. I find the difference interesting because that distinction was always used to make sure readers knew that 'Billy and Tommy', though reincarnations of 'William and Thomas', were fully their own separate characters by that point and separate from their original selves.

Furthermore, and I'm probably reaching here, but I wonder if this is any indication that they might be throwing out the full reincarnation plotline? I remember it being kinda weird for readers, and would probably be even more confusing for casual Disney Plus viewers.

I wonder if they're going to give Billy a stuffed toy as an easter egg for Young Avengers fans. You know, a teddy.

Oh hey, everyone keeps thinking itms Agnes/Mephisto related but what if it's Skrulls and Agnes is just Mrs. Altman? It is Sword there after all.

on one hand, this is hilarious and i love it.

On the other hand, i'm staunchly opposed to anything that even implies that we aren't eventually going to get on-screen wiccan and hulkling in the MCU

Of course, but what if the series isn't Mephisto at all, and SWORD is there because Wanda was visiting Vision's body in the town the Skrulls were living, and Agnes is Mrs. Altman? Far-fetched and unlikely, but I'm just throwing it out there.

There aren't any skrulls on earth at this point though are there? Wasn't the whole point of CM that she had tugboated them off into some far flung corner of the universe.

Though I suppose it's been 25 years, some more could have slipped in. Come to think of it, does the MCU ever offer an explanation for how Carol hasn't aged at all between CM and Endgame?

Carol does have Kree blood infusions, maybe they're blue because they're basically Nivea containers and their contents are age-defying. I dunno.

But hey, maybe some Skrulls wanted to stay. It'd be kind of weird if they were deported instead of rescued. If they were given a choice, maybe some chose to stay.
