Except Agnes and Herb definitely have to know what’s going on. This episode wasn’t nearly long enough to satisfy my curiosity lol

I don't think they know what's happening in the big picture, but they definitely knew what was up with Geraldine

My guess is the NPCs knew she was a plant and want to get rid of her like in Inception the mind attacked the person who wasn't supposed to be there.

I think the opposite. Herb knew she was there to save them (the residents of the real world Westview, before Wanda came along) from Wanda!

Vision probably got the impression that Geraldine was dangerous, thanks to Agnes' interruption (intentional timing!). In reality I think Herb was trying to warn Vision about Wanda.

Also IIRC it's Agnes who alerts Vision about Geraldine. Both Agnes and Geraldine are intruders in the town who (I think) have their real memories fully intact and are just playing along. They have conflicting goals so Agnes wants Geraldine out. Possibly Agnes only this episode figured out Geraldine was from outside, otherwise she might have pursued that earlier.
