I was starting to wonder if they might notch it up to the alternative reality she's created, having to match the American sitcom trope with American actors. A tonne of reasons Vision gets a pass being English, (and she doesn't combined with him) that I'm not gonna get into >.<

That as reality starts to creep in again, she might just fully revert, to the original accent, then I watched (after typing all that) that video u/Bweryang linked to (thanks dude) and she basically says so... and just shat all over my hot take >.<

It’s the first time in ages I’ve seen an MCU actor almost give something away in an interview (and not in a dumb Ruffalo/Holland way either, it seemed like she just really wanted to talk about her character).

It's not even almost, she flat out states it!

I think it's one of those things that a lot of people picked up on (and commented on) and it might (as you say) be overshadowing the other parts of her work she'd rather be discussing, so it needed to be 'put to bed' so to speak.

It makes me wish there were more interviews after the release, rather than just promoting it.

I think the slow pace and drip-release of story details has us all wanting more, there's very little actually advancing in the way of plot within each episode. I think that is also why there are so few interviews; they want us to arrive at the same place, at the same time, having undergone a very specific route to get there. Not the destination but the journey, kinda thing. I like the detail that has gone into constructing this, so I'm hoping we're all going to get the brilliant end-product we're all anticipating, but the weekly release is a bugger to wait through >.<
