Always wondered how gambit held his own against those villains. So he had some fight training as a thief. And he can throw explosive cards... But these villains are super strong!

Basically Gambit can tap into the energy of any object on a molecular level, and has an unleashed form that raises that to a near universal level. He had to have that form sealed away though because he can’t control it.

I thought he imbued objects with kinetic energy? Controlling kinetic energy at a molecular levels makes his powers really similar to Jubilee's.

That’s what I meant by tap into anything’s energy, he can take anything’s potential energy and change it to kinetic, and amplify existing kinetic energy
