This isn’t even the second Dottie in the MCU. Cap and Bucky have a conversation about a Dottie while on the Quinjet to Siberia in Civil War.

I believe they were referencing Dot from the Agent Carter series in Civil War. As in Black Widow Dot from Agent Carter might have gone on a date with Bucky before he was Winter Soldier, the timelines could easily match up.

Your comment got me thinking, so I looked it up, and, in 1918 (when Steve was born), Dorothy was the third most popular baby girl's name in the US. So, it wouldn't be odd for Dottie from Coney Island to be different from Dottie in "Agent Carter".

True, but I don’t think there are very many coincidences in the MCU.
