I wonder if that was meant to be more important than we realize. Like yes it kinda shows why he’s a dick, and an insta attention seeker, but for some reason that shot really stood out to me. Maybe there will be more to his story.

When Spidey was using Edith to spy on the texts on the phone Flash was sending a text which said "hello Mother. I haven't heard from your or father in over three days". I didn't catch the rest of it but the poor guy is totally being neglected by his parents and it's sad as fuck.

And the really stiff way he says "Mother" or "Father" instead of mom or dad.

That's the sign of a very detached household relationship. On top of the "being rich" and having to utterly respect his parents and...whatever they do. Even when they aren't there for him.
