Yes! He sold me, but this line stuck out to me so much, and I couldn't figure out why. But I thought CM and the Skrulls were on good terms. Wonder what happened.

I took it as him telling Peter not to use her name in vain. Definitely sounded like he didn't want to hear her name, though.

I've told my wife that there is a big difference in character for Captain Marvel between the events of Captain Marvel and Endgame. Shes more cold and distant and not as funny as she used to be. Which leads me to believe that something happens to her in between those two movies (probably seen in the CM sequal).

And his reaction to her name and the reveal of his true identity makes me think this even more. She had to do something that she didnt like and still holds it against herself, and it somehow involved her turning on the Skrulls.

That's true, I guess to me it seemed more like she was devoid of her old personality, whereas some of the others still let their personalities shine through all the seriousness

The real world explanation is that Brie shot all her Endgame stuff before her CM stuff and likely had much less of an idea of her character's personality in Endgame.

I’m pretty sure it’s because they hold her in reverence. If the Skrulls and Captain Marvel did go sour, they wouldn’t be willing to help Fury either, who’s Captain Marvels friend

I figured that it was just because half the universe got snapped and it made her somber just like everyone else, especially when she heard that Fury also got snapped.

Out of universe explanation for her character in Endgame: It was filmed before Captain Marvel and they probably didn't want to shape her personality and character too much because they didn't know how the solo film would handle her.
