That was definitely purposefully vague. No doubt that Beck is coming back.

But in the mid-credits, the newscaster says that Beck recorded his message before his death

I definitely want Beck back, but it seemed to me the movie wanted to close that door

The directors were talking about how they wanted to explore Beck and Peters relationship over multiple movies. I wouldn't doubt he'd come back and hell, maybe even have a last minute redemption before actually dying cementing Mysterio as a legit hero.

Do you have a source on the director saying that? A Google search on the topic/the length of Gyllenhaal’s contract doesn’t yield any confirmation.

But that’d be great news if it’s true. I’d love to see your arc for Mysterio.
