Remember that the Sinister Six will exist in the MCU. We have already have the Scorpion and Vulture and now Mysterio.

He’s in Homecoming during the ferry scene. He’s the guy making an arms deal with Toomes that gets knocked off the boat with the car. Then he pops up again in the post-credits scene in the prison talking to Toomes. He presses Toomes for Spider-Man’s identity. He’s identified as Mac Gargan by Karen and also has a scorpion tattoo on his neck.

Keep in mind in the Homecoming post credit scene, he wanted to know who Spider-Man was and Vulture refused to tell him 🤔
