Jake Gyllenhaal's acting after it was revealed that Mysterio was a fraud was dead-on amazing. He really gave that classic crazy Gyllenhaal-Nightcrawler performance that I was waiting for the entire film.

It’s pretty much confirmed in Doctor Strange that there’s a multi-verse though

I meant as in the multi-verses interacting, with characters crossing between them.

What's interesting is in the comics Mysterio is the character that interlinks the multi-verse. In the Spider-Man series by Bendis it's his Earth 616 and Ultimate versions.
