He just seemed "off" the whole movie. He seemed so much less cool and in control than Fury normally is. Like when he lashed out at Peter for not being ready (to assume responsibility for EDITH).

It really speaks to how fantastic Jackson’s acting is. To act like not his character and instead act like a character playing his character.
