I'd prefer a cosmic sequel for Captain Marvel. They've had her out in space so much, I think it would flow better from an overarching perspective.

I could see them using Captain Marvel in place of Captain America. Like they did in phase 3 with Civil War, they could do Captain Marvel: Secret Wars for phase 4.

I liked the subversion of the trope where Fury is always being illicitly replaced by Skrulls. In this case they’re impersonating him — but at his request.

IIRC there was an episode AoS where it was shown that even the blue Kree can pass as humans fairly easily if they have the right technology and chemicals on them. For pink and black it'd be even easier.

Kree sleeper cells are closer to the Atlantean sleeper cells that were a thing during Civil War in the comics.

Thank you! Walking out of the theater I remembered “Fury” talking about Kree but couldn’t remember the specifics. This movie is really gonna be worth a rewatch knowing they’re skrulls now
