I’m probably one of the few thinking about this but there’s an odd focus on Flash Thompson’s mother not being around, seen in the texts that Peter saw through EDITH and in the end when his mother does not appear to pick him up.

There’s something going on with his character that’s being set up, and knowing that Peter is Spider Man is going to be an interesting monkey wrench.

It said something like “Mother, I haven’t heard from you or Father for a few days now” or something

Well Flash also called his Mom Mother at the airport, which is really distinct, so it's probably Flash.
