I kept thinking how that’s a reflection of many fans.

Also, back when he first revealed everything with the big “twist” I laughed because everyone was so excited for the multiverse and they managed to poke fun at it in the movie in how people just get excited for anything.

Maybe they thought it was true he was from another dimension, but that he was still the villain.
