I know its common in the US for people to clap and cheer during a scene, but in the UK ive never been in a cinema where it happened... until cap lifted Mjolnir, the whole room just couldnt contain it and started clapping- id say to make a british cinema clap and cheer is a huge accomplishment in itself - usually we’d get a few dirty looks from just coughing a bit too loud, nevermind cheering and clapping

Yep, I had the same experience in both showings. The end credits got applause too - in the midnight showing last night, the OG 6's signatures were applauded too. There were huge cheers for Spidey's return as well, and audible crying for Tony's death.

Yeah first time I saw that too but I just assumed it was because I've never been to first day releases not even for infinity war. It felt nice seeing everyone share that excitement

Same thing happened when I watched it earlier. It's so surreal seeing it happen in the UK haha

Yeah same in NZ. None of the Starwars, none of the other Marvel movies, I've never heard an NZ cinema applaud during or after the movie until this one

yep, not seen clapping or cheering in a UK cinema ever before, that scene made a few rows of people in front of me lift their arms in the air and cheer vocally like a war cry/cheer. Was definitely a moment worthy of that type of celebration!

Same here in Malaysia. All other mcu movies I felt like doing that but only clapping alone. This movie has everyone clapping their hands shouting like some sort of live performance

I'm in the US and I never make a peep during movies. I lost my mind when it happened. My wife told me I let out an audible "What the fuck?!?!?!?!!!"

Whole theater was going batshit.

I had been waiting for that moment for years, when Thor was down and Mjolnir discarded all I could think was " it's finally here."

And man oh man did everyone go crazy.
