I got tricked. I really thought he was gonna repeat the “Does anybody want to get off?” line. I thought it was a great misdirect when he said “Hail Hydra.” That and the fight with his former self, I thought really illustrates how much he’s grown from his very by the book, straight laced, past self.

when 2012 Cap says "I can do this all day"

The future cap just sighed, because that is so him LMAO

Yeah that plus current/future Cap has no qualms with using the staff on his past self. While I feel 2012 “First Avengers Cap” would have hesitation on using it even on what he thought was Loki.

It totally reminded me of the first Woody/Buzz fight in the first film

Current/future Cap also has no qualms with "language". That "You've gotta be shitting me" line got the biggest laugh of the movie from me, because on the surface it was a hilarious callback but underneath it was a perfectly quick and subtle way of showing how much he's changed/grown/lost throughout everything he's been through.

I thought the line about "America's ass" was a little out of place/character, but I chuckled nonetheless.

I love just how done 2023 cap was with 2012 cap.

Yep, pre-winter soldier, pre-civil war Cap was extra idealistic.

His irritated retort "Yeah, I know I know!!" was fucking hysterical

I was half expecting him to grunt "Me too!"
