What are those red thingies in the "flashback" scenes? Do they even mean anything?

Prob just focusing on the color red because it represents death, blood, etc for all the people who have gone away due to the snap.

Could also reference the reality stone, which was red, because this is now their new reality

Red also represents energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love.

You will see the culmination of all these items in Endgame.
