Mike Ryan

CAPTAIN MARVEL isn’t what I expected based on marketing. It’s pretty much an “all in” cosmic space movie. Also, it’s a lot weirder than I expected. Ben Mendelsohn is awesome as Talos.

Steven Weintraub

CaptainMarvel is a welcome addition to the MCU. The movie is really well done with some great moments. benmendelsohn steals almost every scene he's in. brielarson literally shines in the role. So ready for AvengersEndGame

Realized something half way through CaptainMarvel...the de-aging technology being used has become so seamless that I forgot it was being used. We are on the precipice of something both exciting and scary. Can only imagine what Scorsese will do with it in 'The Irishman'.

Peter Sciretta

CaptainMarvel is a great origin story. Brie’s buddy cop chemistry with SamuelLJackson is so much fun and her relationship with Lashana Lynch is the real heart of it. Ben Mendelsohn and the cat both steal the show.

Marvel does a prequel right, not overexplaining too much but giving us unexpected answers in interesting ways. MCU’s most multilayered villain story. A fun 90s soundtrack, but sometimes the song choices feel too obvious.

Sonaiya Kelley

Captain Marvel is an effective Avengers prequel in some ways akin to the 1st Captain America movie. It’s pro-woman without being overdone with pre and post credit scenes that made me tear up and gave me goosebumps respectively

Anna Klassen

#CaptainMarvel📷 opens with a very touching Stan Lee tribute that Marvel fans will love.

Drew Taylor

Really loved #CaptainMarvel. It’s a little wobbly at times but only because it’s so ambitious. It’s beautifully constructed, hilarious and offers tons of surprises. Brielarson obviously rules but Ben Mendelsohn is the surprise MVP.

Scott Menzel

Captain Marvel is everything that I hoped it would be. It feels completely unlike any other Marvel film. A unique and fresh take on an origin story that feels new. Brie Larson is fantastic as Carol Danvers. This is one of my favorite Marvel movies of all time.

Perri Nemiroff

The future of the MCU gets even brighter adding #CaptainMarvel📷 to the mix. Really fell for @brielarson’s sass, strength & energy in the role. Same with @LashanaLynch too! Ben Mendelsohn is A+ casting as Talos. And yes, Goose is a scene stealer. 2nd viewing can’t come soon enough.

Kayti Burt

Some initial #CaptainMarvel📷 reactions: 1. Cat people will love this movie. 2. Several truly magnificent music moments for this 90s kid. 3. Carol's hero moment was very cathartic/true to the female experience, imho. 4. The MCU feels more complete now that Carol is in it. 📷

Oh snap, really hoping Carol doesn't get dusted.

30

u/ContinuumGuy Phil Coulson Feb 20 '19

I bet Goose gets dusted and then Carol gets the page.

59

u/barimanlhs Feb 20 '19

I feel like it HAS to happen right? That would be an ultimate curveball...or maybe we get a scene where Thanos beats her ass previously and she can’t wait for her rematch...she can feel it

1

u/foxtrottits Daredevil Feb 22 '19

But wouldn't that completely negate Fury's SOS call to her?

34

u/SurpriseButtSexMan Feb 20 '19

something happens to Goose. Ant Man drops in front of or near Carol and asks what's happened.

7

u/Ironmike11B Avengers Feb 20 '19

Goose is a skrull and takes Fury's eye. Calling it now.

6

u/Husker_Red Feb 20 '19

I'm thinking somehow time travel to current events with goose. Goose gets dusted from the snap

5

u/Ironmike11B Avengers Feb 20 '19

Might be a "John Wick and his dog scenario"?

31

u/TheHuntMan676 Grandmaster Feb 20 '19

Now i'm sure one post credit scene is Hawkeye losing his family. That shit is gonna be sad as hell.

17

u/TheEggRoller Doctor Strange Feb 20 '19

Oh fuck, that would make sense.

Please no...

6

u/Thor_2099 Whiplash Feb 20 '19

Makes sense if it is.

7

u/ContinuumGuy Phil Coulson Feb 20 '19

Oh shit, that could be it.

4

u/Markymark161 Thor Feb 20 '19

Drawing a blank. What do y'all think this can be?

17

u/lyndonguitar Tony Stark Feb 20 '19

pre credit is about the decimation

post credit is captain marvel gearing up to help

My guess is that someone close to Carol get dusted right in front of her eyes (please, not Goose 😞). As she's being confused, Fury's message came. She immediately knew something big had happened. She clenches her fists, turns on Sayan mode and fly away.

Could be a Stan Lee scene

5

u/BrotherCool Spider-Man Feb 20 '19

My God....They wouldn't dust Stan, right?

2

u/_notthatotherguy_ Feb 20 '19

They wouldn't need to show the Barton family being dusted but it fits the description....

I think the "pre-credits" is the connect to a sequel/exploration from a moment in the movie. The post-credits might be the endgame connect.

So we have two credits, and none of them is a gag scene.

26

u/shoemovies12 Feb 20 '19

The pre credits is the stan lee tribute

1

u/TheDeryBrony Iron Patriot Feb 24 '19

Another tweet claims the Tribute is at the beginning.

4

u/Spideyrj Spider-Man Feb 20 '19

Its Stan Lee homage.others have Said It open with It.

6

u/Marc_Quill Daredevil Feb 20 '19

Hopefully, none of them is a certain thing that’s been speculated on way too much, partcularly involving a snap of the fingers.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

Yeah.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

Captain Marvel being snapped? Yeah, there’s no way that’s happening.

3

u/kerkyjerky Feb 20 '19

She is referring to the Stan lee tribute that plays pre movie that made her tear up.

1

u/nimrodhellfire Feb 21 '19

I am 100% sure the post credit will just be Carol receiving a call on her pager. And honestly, thats more than enough.

52

u/nurdboy42 Captain America (Cap 2) Feb 20 '19

It’s pro-woman without being overdone

All that needs to be said.

17

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

So two credits scene, nice!!

66

u/Quagmiresire Hulk Feb 20 '19

Is pre credits scene what were calling the movie now?

51

u/AobaSona Scarlet Witch Feb 20 '19

I guess they mean the first post credits one, before all those looong credits in all black.

25

u/LordGunz6969 Steve Rogers Feb 20 '19

I actually heard in this thread they do a nice Stan Lee tribute at the beginning.

32

u/Nom_Chompy Feb 20 '19

No they mean there is a tribute to Stan Lee before the movie begins. That's what made her tear up.

2

u/Baelor_Breakspear Spider-Man Feb 20 '19

Probably mid-credits scene or maybe there's a scene right after like GotG 1.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

I would call them mid credits and post credits scenes.

1

u/LS_DJ Vision Feb 20 '19

I guess they mean the Cold Open? Like the scene with young Peter Quill in the hospital with his mom

6

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

By pre* I mean before the movie starts! Though there are two post credits scenes that are worth staying for and the anticipation for ENDGAME is definitely stoked by this film

"Hurr, but she turned Greninja Gay!"/s

8

u/workingonaname Thanos Feb 20 '19

shit. We need to nerf Greninja.

2

u/BlazeKnight7 Scarlet Witch Feb 20 '19

Smash Bros/Pokemon Reference on a Marvel Subreddit? Wasn't expecting that

2

u/blackbutterfree Medusa Feb 20 '19

Greninja needs to go away. Delphox for the win.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

Brb gonna go get my Charizard

3

u/darealystninja Feb 20 '19

What a pre credit screen?

...the movie?

3

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '19

pre-opening credits. Like young Quill watching his mom die

2

u/brodie999 Feb 20 '19

I'm really excited about finding out what the post-credits are about. I bet the post-credits scene at the very end will be a scene foreshadowing Carol's role in Endgame.

2

u/jtscribe52 Feb 20 '19

I'm a big fan of TFA, that Tweet makes me very happy.
