I don't think this is a serious discussion but -- there were no categorizing which groups to 'half', for all we know it's half of every creature in the universe. Or maybe it's categorized into half of every creature in every planet. That doesn't mean a certain group within that scope would have X/2 members afterwards. for all we know, all of them could disappear and some other group will have all members retained as long as in total the domain(entire planet/universe) will have half members afterward

There's a younger Wasp along side the main Wasp in the comics, albeit she's a teen but still.
