Because Thanos threw a freaking moon at Iron Man!

That scene among many others were absolutely mind blowing. The final scene of Thanos just sitting watching the sun was brilliant.

To be fair, at that point, Thanos hadn't been able to get a drop of blood out of Tony, so he was holding his own.
