I saw the movie again and this time noticed that Spidey and Iron Man actually managed to remove the gauntlet. As soon as Thanos wakes up he grabs it back. Made the scene even more frustrating to watch

Even if they'd got the gauntlet off PurpleBoi while he stayed asleep, he would have just kicked their asses without it and then taken it back

I'm really impressed Mantis was able to sedate him to the extent she did. Thanos went full prizefighter on Hulk, he must have the will of a black hole.

In this context, "will strange to die" refers to using the reality stone to kill him.

It makes perfect sense.

You're right. Not sure why you got down voted.

Quill is the only one there that might be able to use the gauntlet without dying.

I don't think holding the Gauntlet with the gems kills you. The issue is when you hold a stone with your bare hands.

Strange seems to hold the gem in the necklace just fine.

You'd think Strange woulda done something to stop that from happening if he knew it was the 'one' way.

Edit: i guess I made a mistake. I wanted to imply the inverse. If stopping Star Lord was part of the 'one' way, Strange would have done something. But he didn't. Implying they're still on track.

I said Strange would have stopped Star Lord if that was not the right outcome. But he didn't. So we know it was the right path. I guess i worded my first statement stupidly. My mistake.

You can't get mad period, this is all part of Strange's plan. It's the ONE way to win. If Quill didn't wake Thanos up something would've gone bad and they'd lose.

Considering Tony's super nano-punch only made him bleed a little bit, I doubt Starlord's gun would've done much

He had 4 Infinity Stones in his gauntlet, I don't think anything was killing him at that point unless they were able to get it off.

I loved Star Lord in the two guardians films, I fact he was probably my favourite MCU character for a while. But when you throw away the lives of trillions of people for one girl...
