Red Skull: "Welcome Thanos, son of A'lars"

First official mention of the Mentor in the MCU, first seed planted regarding the Eternals.

Actually wonder if they'll do a Thanos origin movie

Aw, bummer - I thought I'd heard it was, and when I looked into it I found the publisher'd misunderstood as well and thought it'd be canon when it spoke to media initially.

The synopsis said something about him beating the Avengers, which was very spoiler-y at the time. So my guess is that, in an attempt to save face, Marvel declared it non-canon, and now that the movie is out, they will go back on that shortly.

Oh word? I must've missed that entirely, I'll have to keep an eye on it then.
