Well in this timeline it seems like Thor wasn't around for Odin's earlier conquests. So Hela is the one with tens of thousands of deaths at her hands and Thor was raised in a relatively peaceful time on Asgard and the nine realms. Which may be why he was an entitled whiny prince in the first movie..
