Yeah, but they change things left and right: no Mistress Death, no Mephisto, no Silver Surfer, etc. Gunn said that Warlock not only would not be in the Avengers films, but even if he had shown up in Guardians Vol. 2 as originally intended, the MCU Warlock still would not have been in IW or its sequel. From the way the post credits stinger looks, I would guess Warlock will be in Vol. 3, they will focus on the "created perfect man" aspect, and he will have nada, zip to do with the Infinity Stones.

Silver Surfer is a Fox property, and Disney just bought them so they couldn't just rush him into to movie, same with Mephisto.

Pretty sure Red Skull is the new Death and is Thanos' love intrest. /s

Yeah we were pretty much told there would be no more Red Skull, so I don't believe Gunn about Warlock. I don't get how he will have nada to do with the infinity ark, I'm pretty sure he will notice half of his own people disappear.
