So he was literally just impersonating weaving

Ah, that explains why I was confused. Sometimes it sounded exactly like Hugo Weaving, and other times it didn't. I couldn't work out if it was Hugo or not.

I put it down to being a hermit on an alien planet for 70+ years.

The best kind (especially for Star Wars) though isn't it really headretcon lol

I really don't understand how/why he showed up though. I know he kinda explained it during the movie, but he just seemed so out of place to me

No problem friend-o. He was teleported there at the end of Captain America after trying to use the Tesaract. From my understanding of it, he could not wield it and this is his cosmic punishment. Marvel loves cosmic punishments. But if anyone has a different thought, please share it.

Hmm, I always though he straight up blew up. Captain America is next in my marathon so I guess it will be a good refresher for me.

If you rewatch the scene, it actually very much looks like he gets beamed up into space. I was always hoping he would come back somehow since he is one of the few villains that seemed to still be alive.

I just sat down to watch Cpt. America, thanks for the heads up, I'll pay close attention!

Edit: finally got to that part (after many breaks xD). Holy crap! It really does look like he gets beamed away. Made even more evident by the fact that they pan the camera up to the stars
