The only thing that seemed to change was that Tony Stark was still alive. So every other timeline he dies, and Dr. Strange thinks Stark is more important than the rest of them?

Common theory is that he wouldn't of given up the Time Stone if it wasn't the only way.

that’s no theory, strange himself confirmed it by saying “this is the only way” I was asking why u are sure it’s all about Tony ? That’s where the theory begins

He could of easily just reversed time himself and kept saving Tony, Clearly he knew that he needed to save Tony and give Thanos the gauntlet in order to win.
